Advisory: Earlier this year our ACCESS etc offices were water-flooded 10cm and the transformer and connected equipment imploded. Many documents were affected and are being restored. Clerical etc functions are being delayed by the situation. Please be patient in this context.

Beatty Street in Vancouver is not a "campus" - classroom-based programs are located at member Colleges around the world. Contact them directly.

Our ACCESS (archival, clerical, and consortium-enhanced student services) address is

Vancouver University Consortium ACCESS
Lobby Mailbox 5,
550 Beatty Street,
Vancouver V6B 2L3, Canada.

Reflecting fluctuating space needs, we moved within the 548/550/552/554 Beatty Street complex variously over the decades and Vancouver University's consortium office and registry have been listed by numerous directories etc around the world as (then) located at 548 Beatty.

The Beatty building housed reception, board-room, some downtown classes, etc for two decades, inclusive of.

  • the Office of President and University-affiliate Services (OPUS);
  • the Extension / External Degrees process registry, Learning Credentials Credits Bank (LCCB);
  • and reference resources, books and materials, both physical and electronic ( Virtual College ).

548/550/552/554 Beatty, 119/117A W Pender, and 174 W Cordova (Whetham College historic site) - all within a block or so of each other - have been past teaching and administrative locations of what is now Vancouver University during more than a century; and in recent decades, likewise facilitated BREL, international exchanges, and the Van UC.

When visiting Beatty Street, southerly within two or three blocks are:
  • the YWCA Hotel
  • Sandman Downtown Hotel
  • Georgian Court Hotel
  • Hampton Inn and Suites
  • Rosedale Hotel
  • Westin Grand Hotel
  • Queen Elizabeth and Ford Centre theatres
  • GM and BC Place stadiums
  • Vancouver Public Library
  • and we are adjacent to a Skytrain rapid transit station.
