Learning ResourcesMember colleges are expected to have learning materials centres, or to locate in physical and/or electronic proximity to open-access learning materials resources (libraries, on-line data banks, etc). Students, including external degree candidates, are likewise expected to access such facilities - and to use, relevant to their subject matter, such on-line research resources as The Economist, Merlot, and Google Scholar, etc. For example, BC Montessori Teachers College has its own learning resources centre with specialized pedagogic materials and library. Our other City of Vancouver BC colleges are located in proximity to substantial Vancouver Public Library and provide students with access to on-line data banks, etc. Because lifelong learning, prior learning assessment (PLA, PLAR), and e-Portofilio construction are important factors in our global outreach, we suggest review of relevant online documents available to you at the FuturEd Library. Note at the top of e-Library the documents about the e-Portfolio, and scroll down to others about Lifelong Learning and Prior Learning Assessment. |
